Cheatsheets for the everyday stack

A set of plain-HTML reference pages for the tools an automation engineer touches every day, from Structured Text and Modbus registers to systemd and regex.

Automation work crosses a lot of toolchains in one day: Structured Text in the morning, a Linux shell on a controller after lunch, a Modbus register map, a docker container for the HMI, then git to keep all of it straight. The cheatsheets at ref.plcbench.dev are the pages I kept wanting open in a tab.

What’s there

  • Automation: Structured Text, Modbus and OPC UA, and real-time Linux
  • Linux and ops: Ubuntu CLI, shell scripting, systemd, docker
  • Code: Python, Node.js, PowerShell, SQL, regex
  • Web: HTML and CSS, HTTP and HTTPS
  • Everything else: git

How it’s built

Deliberately boring. Each sheet is a single static HTML file with no build step and no framework. It’s served by nginx on a Raspberry Pi and published through a Cloudflare Tunnel, the same pattern as the remote access note, minus the login gate. Updating it means git pull on the Pi.

The index page has a search box and a filter by stack. The pages are made for quick lookups, not for reading start to finish.
